The CDU-led state government has recognized the state of emergency in financing childcare. With a one-time payment from the supplementary budget of the state to the youth welfare offices, the institutions are given short-term and unbureaucratic assistance in order to prevent impending Kita closures and thus inevitably avoid burdens for our communities. All in all, 500 million euros will be invested in the Kita landscape in this way. The youth welfare offices of the municipalities in my constituency are also benefiting from this immediate measure, says Hendrik Wüst, the local member of the Landtag and Minister of Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Hendrik Wüst welcomes this initiative of the state government: "The daycare carrier rescue package is a great support for our kindergarten landscape. Without this injection, it would come in a very short time to a complete collapse of the system. Thus get the county Borken affiliated youth welfare offices 4.988.330 €. The youth welfare office of the city Bocholt receives 1.942.330 € and the youth welfare office of the city Borken 1.426.090 €. The money received by the youth welfare offices is therefore a direct investment in the care of our children. Until 2019 is thus the financing of the daycare secured.
It is clear to us that early childhood education needs a fresh start. For seven years, the red-green predecessor government could and must have reacted to prevent this impending collapse earlier. However, she has not been able to present an adequate day-care funding system throughout. After the Kita-rescue package of the NRW-Coalition, we will work out a reform of the Kita-Financing, which was designed in cooperation with the municipalities and sponsors. The goal is a sustainable and solid financial resources of the Kita landscape. In addition, we will take necessary measures for quality improvements in nurseries and on-demand opening hours. "
