Numerous Bundeswehr soldiers from various units have helped cope with the corona pandemic in the Borken district in recent months. District Administrator Dr. Kai Zwicker now expressly thanked them again in a personal letter for their great commitment and valuable help. For a total of around three months - from January 11th to April 25th - the soldiers worked in hospitals as well as in various elderly care and disabled facilities, for example carrying out rapid tests and also in the administrative area. "In this way, the major personnel bottlenecks during this time could at least be partially absorbed," said District Administrator Dr. Kai Zwicker. "With your help you have made an important contribution to ensuring that patient care in the hospitals and facilities in the Borken district was ensured at all times, despite all the difficulties." At times, more than 40 soldiers from Reconnaissance Battalion 7, Panzer Battalion 203, Artillery Training Battalion 325, Operation Flotilla 2 and the headquarters and communications company of Panzer Brigade 21 were deployed, coordinated by the Bundeswehr district liaison command.
