The cycle paths along Werther Straße between Lowick and Liedern will be renovated this year. This is communicated by the city administration and roads of North Rhine-Westphalia when asked by the local CDU city councilor Michael Wiesmann. In the answer, Straßen NRW writes that they intend to renovate the cycle path on around 1.100 meters on both sides this year.
Michael Wiesmann, who is also the deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group, is delighted: “The cycle paths along Werther Straße are used extensively. Citizens from songs in particular use it to cycle in the direction of Lowick and downtown. Likewise, many children cycle to school every day on this route. After the route was already illuminated last year at the request of the CDU, the renovation is contributing to the further safety of cyclists. I am therefore very pleased that Straßen NRW will renovate the roads this year. "
